Place to eat

New to the board and site, I tried to search for places to eat around or close to citizen's bank park, going to a baseball game in May. Would like to eat somewhere close enough that will not take long to get to stadium from restaurant. Only exclusion is seafood, all others are ok, would like to have place with large beer menu as well. Thanks for the recommendations.

  1. great italian nearby is popi's - but it's a little pricey.. but really good. not sure if that's what your looking for. chickie and pete's, the restaurant/bar - is right there too - ton of beer, pizza and sandwiches, and wallet friendly. have fun!

    1. There really isn't a lot in the area. We often buy hoagies & just bring them to the ball park. Chickie & Pete's is a good option, but can get very busy/crowded. If you go there, you can park in the C&P lot & take the Crab Taxi to the stadium.

What night of the week are you going?

      Chickie & Pete's

      1. There's nothing really close to (walkable, I mean) the stadiums. If you're looking for a place with a great beer selection, I'd take the Broad St. subway to the South Philly Tap Room, at 15th and Mifflin. The Snyder stop is only a few blocks away. If you're driving, there's usually street parking in that neighborhood in my experience.
