Need recommendations for Fall River area

Cantabrigian Apr 19, 2010 10:16 AM

I'll be in Fall River on Friday and need some ideas on where to get a good sit-down lunch - Portuguese preferred - and any recommendations overall particularly for bakeries?

Sam's Syrian bakery-on Flint street. They close at 1pm. Syrian meat pies with lemon and allspice. lots of open pitas with feta cheese and vegetables. We make an annual trip from CT and spend over $100.00 for a huge amount of these pies and then freeze them. They are very inexpensive. If you go there buy some, bring them out to the car and eat them warm. I haven't found anything like them in any other parts of USA. An experience going there. If I lived there I would go everyday.

Mesa 21, Fall River Grill, Ugly American, are all good choices.
