Two nights in Napa: Please just pick me somewhere to eat dinner Wed!

Oklahoman Apr 19, 2010 09:54 AM

I am spinning my wheels trying to decide on dinner Wednesday night. I know that it is just dinner, but it's driving me CRAZY! So... I'll eat wherever you tell me to. Whoever gets the most votes, gets the meal. We are having dinner at The French Laundry on Thursday and lunch at Bottega on Friday. We have a car, so anywhere else is game.

Please help!

Neela's Indian restaurant in Napa. Neela showcases vegetables Wednesday nights, with emphasis on those not usually found in the US (or Oklahoma). Much better than average food, and a good counterpoint to FL and Bottega.

Solbar at the Solage resort just south of Calistoga on Silverado Trail. Really tasty stuff and if the weather is nice sit out on the patio. Try the Lucky pig (luck for us but not the pig)

Take a look at this review for Martini House in St. Helena...

Also, Redd is not as formal as the website appears to be & they do have a lively bar/patio area (noticed your concern in another post). However, this is probably more pricey than Martini House.

If you're staying in Yountville, how about Redd? It's fairly close to both the restaurants you plan on going to. Ad Hoc might be a good choice too.
