Looking for Ethnic Restaurants (Middlesex/Monmouth)

A group of us like to try various ethnic restaurants, the more unusual the better. We live in an area bounded by Edison, Old Bridge, Jamesburg, and Toms River, so something within that area is better than something further away.

We've been to Chim Pun Callao, the Filipino place in Middletown (now gone), the Russian Restaurant in East Brunswick, Makeda, and various "Asian fusion", Indian, Mexican, and Central American restaurants. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

You said you liked asian fusion joints but didn't mention any straight up asian food.

There are so many good Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese joints in the Edison area...have you tried them?

If you like Indian you might also be interested in trying Indian Chinese food....I forget the name of the place but there's a place in South Plainfield that does Indian Chinese.

There's also a place in Parlin that does Indian Chinese.

We've been to the Parlin place a couple of times, but have either not figured out what is Indian Chinese on the menu, or decided it tasted pretty much like non-Indian Chinese. Do you have any specific dishes you can recommend?

Pad Thai in Highland Park.

+1 for Pad Thai- Really good but watch out....they're food can be really, really hot. Another thought would be Delta's in New Brunswick- Really good Southern food. That's ethnic....no??

Seal, have you been to their sister restaurant Four Seasons on Stelton Rd in Piscataway, and if so how do you compare the two?

I like Four Seasons too, but I work so close to Pad Thai that I usually just go there.
