Buckhead Area Dining Options

  • 5

We'll be in the Buckhead area for a few days this week for a conference. Two of us are vegetarians, one is lactose intolerant and one doesn't eat pork or shellfish. Can anyone out there suggest restaurants that can accommodate all of us for dinner??

  1. Taco Bell...but seriously, if you have a car try dynamic dish. It's off edgewood near Inman Park.

    1. I am not a vegetarian, but I have always enjoyed the food from Cafe Sunflower.

There's also the World Peace Cafe or 2nd location of Cafe Sunflower in Sandy Springs.

If ethnic is an option, one of our great Indian places might fit the bill. We've eaten at Bhojanic a few times lately and still really like it; that and my wife bought a stack of 1/2 off coupons for it. We actually grabbed a side of mac for the Chowpup from Community Q beforehand to lessen the dinner hassle (Chowpup loves the Indian bread and mango lassis but not much else).

Panahar on Buford Hwy might similarly fit the bill- it's Bangladeshi, IIRC.

      2. Any of the better restaurants will accomodate your needs....go for something fun and just let them know about your concerns (esp. lactose).
Also depends what you want to spend.

We had two great meals in Buckhead. One was at Cafe Sunflower, the other at R. Thomas. I was surprised, but there were a lot more veggie options in Atlanta than at home in Boston. Also, what's the deal with all the 24 hour places? Is it because of the airport, or is there something else?
