Morrissey's Front Porch in Wolfboro, NH - NOT!!!!!!

Was pretty disappointed in lunch today. First of all: 1) buffalo wings that is just fried chicken with a drizzle of hot sauce shouldn't be called Buffalo Wings 2) although the menu said blue cheese dressing and celery - I had to ask for it (and the celery was so limp that I couldn't even scoop the blue cheese sauce because it was more like a hmmmm noodle almost al dente) 3) hubby's sweet potato fries said "with apple maple dip" and first it didn't come with it and I had to ask, then it was maple syrup - that's it. 4) one lonely napkin for my wings, this is just lack of common sense (maybe the economy is really hurting them and napkins are rationed, but I'm thinking it's not the economy hurting them - it's them hurting them.

Good things: 1) waitress was nice, although she might not have liked us as I had to keep asking for what I thought was right on the menu. Once, she said "Oh, yea, most people don't like it so I stop bringing it". 2) wing sauce was pretty good once I ordered a bowl to twirl my wings in 3) o rings were pretty good.

wouldn't go back, miss Bailey's!!!!

Your experience isn't surprising. I can think of 3 Wolfeboro restaurants that Wolfeboro townies avoid like the plague, simply because of their reputation for serving terrible food. Morrisey's might even be at the top of that list. On a more positive note, the folks who own the Pine Cone Cafe in Melvin Village bought the former 51 Mill Street at foreclosure auction earlier this year. After extensive renovations, they just opened a couple of days ago as Bayside Grill. We love the Pine Cone and think they'll do well here. They won't really be competition for Mis en Place, but they may be the straw that broke the camel's back for Morrissey's Front Porch. We hope to check it out this weekend. If we do, I'll try to remember to report back.
