Slim french baguettes - where to get?

Anyone know of a bakery that sells fresh slim baguettes in the south bay, west la or silverlake area?

thanks in advance!

Dolce Isola uses incredible crusty, airy baguettes for their sandwiches. The clerk was puzzled when I asked for just bread, no sandwich, but he sold it to me. I think they bake their own bread.

To cover that wide an area, go to any Costco.

Giuliano's in Gardena on Gardena Blvd. Not the other locations.

For a Venice source, try French Market Cafe on Abbot Kinney. Their baguettes have always been nice and fresh, and they usually run out by mid morning-early afternoon. If you've had their sandwiches, it's the same stuff.

If you mean Ficelles, La Maison du Pain on Pico & Ridgeley has them (plain, poppy seed, sesame and salt). They tend to go fast so better stop by in the morning.

I "third" them. One of my favorite bakeries and the nicest people in the world. When my wife makes Bo Kho, that is the only place we go for baguettes.

I have seen them in the Larder at Tavern in Brentwood. Suggest calling ahead.
