Good Sports Bar and Grill

Excellent Burger and Fries. Half pound burger, created in house. Great taste, Great toppings.....bacon, cheese, mushrooms, or california style. Fries are the skinny fries. You can get them with an herb seasoning. Good either way.

Full bar.

My SO thinks this burger ranks above Victory 44.

We've also had the Buffalo Chicken wings. excellent. They are the full wings, not the individual pieces of wings.

They have other sandwiches and dinners, but I haven't had

Find this place at the corner of Broadway and 2nd St. N. Its been open a few months now. Great staff. Great addition to NoMi.

2203 44th Ave N, Minneapolis, MN

The name of the place is exactly as written in the thread title: Good Sports Bar and Grill.

      200 Broadway Street Northeast
      Minneapolis, MN 55413
      (612) 302-9464

I was confused about where this place is, because I had heard it is in North Minneapolis, not Nordeast.

So I called them to ask where they are. Turns out the address above is not correct. They are located at:

        200 West Broadway Ave.
        Minneapolis, MN 55411

Google (and maybe directory assistance?) has the wrong address.
So I hope that people looking for them will be able to find them.

It turns out that this was the past location of Johnny A's 200 Club. From what I have learned, the new place will be a definite step up.

    2. I might have to avoid the place just because of the lack of creativity in their name selection. There are enough places to go to that don't have ridiculous names.

      1. I've heard similar reviews from the NoMi activist sorts. Good to see a comparable review here. Aside from the full wing concept, what makes them distinct from other places? Also, what does it mean that the burger is created in house? Do they grind it themselves? If so, that's very cool.

Apologies, I couldn't remember how others had referenced patties not being pre-formed. I don't believe they grind it, in house, but do form the patties there.

Just sharing that I really like the buffalo sauce on the wings.
I'm finding the full wing concept in other northside places. Like the new BBQ place on Broadway and Penn.
