Maximillian's in NoHo

Has anyone eaten at Maximillian's in NoHo (Tujunga just north of Magnolia)? It seems new to the neighborhood and looks promising. If you know anything about this place, please share.

I ate there twice, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The service was attentive, and the ambience is really nice. They also have an outdoor dining area which I've been told is fun. The food was excellent ... I went with four people, and everyone was very happy with the dinner.

I had an excellent business dinner there. The owner doesn't seem to be into advertising the place, but that doesn't seem to apply to the quality of the food. I had a delicious duck confit and short ribs with polenta. The desserts were also very good.

Four of us had dinner there on Saturday evening. This is the kind of restaurant the Valley needs desparately. We enjoyed the food immensely, the menu was interesting and so was the wine list. We did find the portions to be a bit small, compared with other restaurants of this ilk. My husband, who never orders his own dessert, did so because he was still hungry. The service was poor. It took a long time to be asked for our wine selection and even longer to take our order. Then one dessert was brought out way before the others. The waitress seemed as though she would be more comfortable in a coffee shop than a nice restaurant. I would definitely go back again in a month or so, to see if they have ironed out the kinks. I do hope that the chef reads these reviews because I would really like Maxmillian's to succeed.

It is right down the street from my office and I have been there twice for lunch. What a great venue!! Food is very very good and only slightly pricey. wine list needs work and the service is very attentive. I would definitely recommend it as a try.
