fun restaurant to celebrate 23rd birthday with friends (during 1st jazzfest weekend...)

i am having such a really tough time finding a restaurant that will take reservations for a party of 15 for this Saturday (4/24) since it is jazz fest weekend.

Any good suggestions for a restaurant that has a good drink menu, maybe has an outdoor seating area, is not too fancy, and would take reservations for this weekend?

No serious foodies here, but I am definitely looking for something original and a bit eccentric.

If your group likes sushi go to Rock and Sake. It's not fancy and a lot of 20 somethings go there who just want to have fun. I don't know if I'd call it original or eccentric.

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and we're going to Boucherie. I've never been, but have heard good things.

A party of 15 might be difficult for Boucherie to accommodate. It's pretty small.

Try cafe Giovanni on Decateur. Tell chef Duke what you want and he is very accommodating but do it now.

+1 on Jacques-Imo's. You might also try Dante's Kitchen or Mat & Naddie's. Both are small, so a reservation for 15 might be difficult, but both have outside seating and might be able to accommodate your party in the patio area (weather permitting). I haven't been to Mat & Naddie's for some time, but I recall it being good. The food and Dante's is very good. The shrimp and grits and spoon bread are favorites. Both places are laid back and somewhat eccentric. Dante's has great house-made specialty cocktails made from local, in-season ingredients.
