Where can I find the BEST Korean Fried Chicken?

I was in NYC in February and noticed the popularity of Korean Fried Chicken. Momofuku even had a whole Korean-style chicken via special reservation on their menu.

Does anyone know where I could find something like this in Toronto?

Any suggestions on where to go for the BEST Korean Fried Chicken? What are the typical sidea that people order to eat with it?

I have yet to find a good place in Toronto. NYC has the best!

Ajuker gets a fair amount of love on this board but I was sufficiently unimpressed the one time I tried their product to not have tried it again.

The chicken pieces were extremely skimpy on meat—in fact seemed to consist largely of cut up chicken backs. I found the coating to be devoid of flavour and the sauce on the side not much help. Mind you, this was a few years back when they had just moved to their current location on Bloor. Maybe I should give them a second chance ..

don't... as nice as the people are, the food is pretty bad. even for $10 it was extremely skimpy, about 7 pieces about 1.5 inches long, with a soggy tasteless batter.

I really like Ajuker (on Bloor). Been many times and the skin is crispy and the chicken inside moist and yummy. Mostly dark pieces. I also like getting their other spicy chicken dish (not fried).

You can try the Galleria Super Market. They have a Korean Friend Chicken place called Mom's fried chicken. I have never tried it but it seems popular. Galleria Super Market is located on Yonge a bit North of Steels.

My advice is to look for a restaurant called "very good fried chicken restaurant". That was the trick in Korea anyhow.
