Eating good, for less dough

I'm a student on a mission with a friend to eat the best we can for the cheapest we can around Montreal for the next month, both of us have a lot of time to blow: send us to any late night seating that's a great deal, any far off place, any hard to find hole in the wall

I'm curious to try the Lemeac 10pm seating for $22, the fixed lunch at Pinxto. I also know some have expressed that they feel that these deals just don't accurately reflect the quality of the restaurant (I'm sure it's still better than what I'm usually eating when I go out).

Also, I've been told that theres some bistro out near guy that does a $10 mid-week lunch? Does anyone know anything about this, I can't remember the name

Additionally, what do people think of Kitchen Galerie in May? I know everything is seasonal...is it a good time?

And finally- if anyone knows where to find a decent taco, please do share

And just to add to that...creative places to drink and gather as well!

Has anyone been to this resto-bar BOND lounge grill, that is themed on well...bond movies?

For great tacos, head out to Le Coin du Mexique (Jean-Talon & Iberville).

This is also a terrific thread on the best eats for $10 or less in Montreal:
