I love Clover Food Truck
Ok, so I don't get there that often, but this morning they had a special event where they made *fresh*, *hot*, yeast-raised, doughnuts (light coating of cinnamon sugar), and I was just bowled over. The coffee is brewed to order, by the cup, and is outstanding. They also serve up an excellent oatmeal (today it had a luscious-looking pear compote on top, but the fruit can rotate) and a granola/yogurt/fruit thingie, all excellent. Only been once for lunch but they make astounding soups (such as pear/parsnip) and diverse salads, and fries. The menu changes constantly, and is driven by local, fresh ingredients. All dishes are vegetarian.
Heard from the owner---who is a great, very personable guy---they will be opening a restaurant in Harvard Square in the coming months. don't have any more info than that the food will be similar to the truck's food.
Since their hours can be fickle, it's a good idea to follow them on Twitter. Go to http://www.cloverfoodlab.com/?page_id=2 to find out how.
I don't work for these people. I just love their whole business ethos and they have some of the freshest, tastiest food, most wholesome food in town. And I hardly ever hear a peep about them on Chowhound and thought it was high time they got a shout-out.
To get there: find the INbound entrance to the Kendall Square T. Walk away from Main Street toward the river on Carlton St.. About half a block down on the left you will find the truck. Open most days from about 8 (sometimes not til 9) until 3 (sometimes much later).
