Bathurst north of Lawrence - do you recall....

It's been driving me crazy. Probably over 30+ years ago, before Shrimp Kitchen, there was a restaurant whose speciality was a type of sandwich similar to a panini. You had a choice of different fillings and they toasted them up and pressed it together so that it became sealed on all sides.

As kids we ate them quite frequently, esp. the egg salad and one that was kind of like a pizza inside, and for the life of me I can't recall the name of the place. And worse, nobody else seems to even remember the place existing.

Was I dreaming?

Yeah, maybe that was it. I definitely recall the resto The Pie Tree but wasn't there one another reincarnation before Shrimp Kitchen? Do you recall if Pie Tree made these sandwiches I speak about?

      Thanks toronto guy.
