Removing yellow discoloration on stainless steel cookware?
My stainless cookware seems to get a yellowish discoloration very quickly, no matter how careful I am to keep it clean. Does anyone know how I can get this off?
I honestly am not sure, but are you cooking on too high of heat? I use Bar Keepers Friend for occasional "deeper" cleaning. Good luck!
I don't know if we are describing the same "yellowish discoloration", but the problem I used to have, before switching to induction burner, was oil splash got baked-in the outer and inner walls of my SS cookware and leave yellowish stain. The first thing I try when it comes to cleaning is always vinegar. First I soak it in vinegar and the stain came off a little. Encouraged, I boiled it in a diluted vinegar solution, and it came out like new.
