Best Soup- Take-home??
I'm having a small dinner party and want to serve a soup- preferably a winter vegetable puree (not cream-based). I'm thinking butternut squash, carrot or something like that.
I'm near Yonge and Bloor, so somewhere within reasonable driving distance...
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Delica @ 1440 Yonge has amazing soups. I had their Tuscan Tomato soup for the first time last week and can't stop thinking about it. It's that good.

Lots of good suggestions already - I'll add the lovely lentil soup from Tabule at Yonge and Davisville. You might also be able to get something at Whole Foods - they usually have at least 5 or 6 different soups available and they're pretty decent.

Ravi Soups does some of the BEST soup in the city! I bet you could call in an order for 4-6 people and you could pick it up from them. Whole Foods also has a decent selection of homemade soups and are $6.99 for a large mason jar.

I have a REALLY good suggestion that I used for Thanksgiving last year. Longo's grocery (and a couple of independant grocery stores I've seen)..carry this line..
Anyway..it's called Village Kitchen and it's in the frozen section at Longo's. I served the Apple Squash and it's sooo amazingly good.
It served about 3, so buy two packs and you should be good. This is my 'go to' serve at home when entertaining soup!-----

The soups ate Dash kitchen are quite good, and it's less than a 10 minute drive from your location. http://www.dashkitchen.ca
