Plum - Coi spinoff in Oakland

The Chron reports Daniel Patterson has taken over the former Louisiana Fried Chicken space and will be opening "a younger sibling of Coi" with "modern, ingredient-driven dishes falling in the $9-$19 range," then later will expand into the former Franklin Wine Bar next door to add a bar.

    1. And Scott Beattie (formerly cocktail guru at Cyrus) will be in charge of the bar. I can't wait.

        I can't wait for this to open. The meal I had at Coi was one of the most memorable of my life. Patterson is an amazing talent!

          Space still has the old Franklin Wine Bar furnishings so I don't think they even started.

            Actually the old Louisiana Fried Chicken space is supposed to open in late August. The Franklin Square bar space was going to be worked on later from what I read.

            Thanks. I'll be there thursday at a three top, and I have sideburns.

              I'm heartbroken that I'm going to miss the opening weekend -- I made a reservation in an excited flurry...and then remembered that I'm in LA on opening day, and otherwise unable to go for the rest of the weekend. I look forward to your report!
