Try Life just off the Saw Mill Pkwy in Ardsley. Great space, very adaptable, I think the go to caterer is Abigail Kirsch.

What about the Bronxville Woman's Club, which has great party rooms. I think there might be an associated caterer, but you can check with them. Also, given the current economy, I'll bet that many private clubs like Siwanoy would allow non-member events. Worth it to check local clubs for prices and avails.

re: MRS
My post was posting in error before I was finished w/ my comment. Apologies. What I was trying to say was that in years back, I was under the impression that that they would not allow non-members to host events there w/out a member as an event sponsor. I thought that was pretty strict. And, I had never, ever known anyone who had a bar/bat mitzvah there, but perhaps in recent years they have allowed these kind of events from non-members.

Globe in Larchmont has a great back room w/ DJ, bar, food, couches, etc. Haven't been in a while but Coughlan's in White Plains has a great "club" space with large bar and food. Peniche also has a downstairs "lounge" which is nice, but feels kind of "basement-y".

re: imm08
No, they are not, but according to their website it is doubtful that party for 150 would work:
Restaurant Buyout: 200 Seated Reception – 300 Standing Reception*
Private Dining Room (main level): accommodating parties up to 65 people
Private Lounge/Pata Negra (lower level): accommodating parties for 30-120 people
*Buyout may not be available on all days, and is subject to food and beverage minimum.

re: wpfoodie
second that fully! I have eaten there multiple times where we have had full meals left full and had sangria for under $40 per person all inclusive! Thats's great imo. Granted we are not ordering the most expensive items all the time but nor are we skpping anything because of price--we just don't need filet or lobster, etc.

Trust me, I've never watched my food intake. We ordered just about everything on the "small plates" side of the menu, and even ordered an entree or two, but had them split them up for sharing. There are tons of great options on the menu. And like 'cubanet' said, it's great sangria that doesn't cost much.

There's a new place called Bounce: The Party Place. Not sure what the deal is with food/drinks, but the place is huge from what I've heard. http://www.bouncethepartyplace.com/in...
