I like Mezza Luna in Allendale and Aldo's in Wyckoff.

We tried Mezza Luna on Saturday and it was wonderful. The food and service were both great and the portions were nice and big except the Ouso Bucco which was very tastey but not very large.
The prices were very reasonable so we will be going back again soon.

There's over 100 just in Bergen. Can you narrow the field with some criteria?

All Ridgewood restos are BYOB? What about JB Winberie, Smith Brothers, and the Office? Maybe you meant Rutherford?
the only ones worth going to are, and that list is very small regardless.

wow, thanks for narrowing it down LOL!
anyway, three great Italian places: Gencarelli's Cucina in Montclair, Paisanos in Rutherford and Rocca in Glen Rock, are all byo. The Seafood Gourmet in Maywood is a small restaurant attached to a fish market and is byo. Mo Pho in Fort Lee is a wonderful Vietnameese byo. Tina Louise in Carlstadt is an asian (Thai/Chinese?) byo. Also, Fuki Sushi in River Edge is awesome and byo. hope these help.

Pretty much every restaurant in Montclair is BYOB. We absolutely love both Table 8 on Bloomfield Ave (http://www.table8nj.com/) and Corso 98 on Walnut St. Osteria Giotto (on Midland) is wonderful. And for a special occasion (or not, depending on your budget), it's hard to beat Culinariane (also on Walnut).

Add Fascino and Passione to that list. We've had excellent dinners at both, several times. We also like Table 8 and Culinariane, but have tried Corso 98 twice and didn't find it exceptional .

Went to table 8 last night and it was incredible. The owner Dimitri was so very accommodating and interesting. His food is manhattan quality at a reasonable price. Our party of five ran the gamut with his diverse menu and everyone was blown away by the flavors. I will be back!

My favorite Italian BYOB places in the Morristown area are:
Il Mondo Vecchio in Madison--very reasonable for a fancy dinner
Brick Oven in Morristown--great place for a date if you don't have to be anywhere in a hurry, more casual/loud atmosphere
both of these places have really great service. this is important to me because a lot of byob places in the morristown area try to turn over the tables too quickly and make you feel uncomfortable about finishing your bottle!!

will not be disapointed. Every dish I have tried is very good. They have
a thin crust square pie that is incredible.

I like Granita Grille in Westwood. Haven't been in a while, but also like Mezza Luna in Allendale. I also like Masago in Ridgewood. I haven't been there yet, but everyone who I know who has gone to Chef's Table in Franklin Lakes has liked it.

We are blown away by Picnic, The Restaurant in Fairlawn. I think Zagat chose it as the best
new restaurant in New jersey.
Zagat does not "choose" anything. Supposedly, it's chosen by the readers. But Boston Market was in Zagat up to a couple of years ago, and was a "best buy". OMG.

Picnic is one of our favorite new restaurants in the area. Great food, nice vibe and lots of variety. We also love Chefs Table. Food there is great, but the vibe is a littl older and stuffier. Saddle River Inn is also another great staple in the area. Also have been hearing great things about St Eves in HoHoKUs.
