Good Lambrusco in Washington, D.C.

elalavi Apr 15, 2010 07:31 AM

Does anyone know "good" lambrusco I can buy in DC?. Not of the Reunite kind (more like a dry one i.e. Barbolini) . I can't seem to find any anywhere! Thank you.

The Italian Gourmet (Mercado Italiano) in Darnestown has a nice selection of Italian wines, Lambrusco among them. Get a sub while you're at it.

I'm not refering to either of these places that popped up in my previous post. This place is at Quince Orchard and 28.

Siema Imports brings in Chiarli. Dry is their Vecchio Modena. Farily dry is their Enrico Chialdini.

Country Vintner has Pederzana which is just of dry.

Most others I have tasted are pretty sweet..
