My step-daughter (25 years old) is coming into town tomorrow and I plan to take her to Old Town on Sat. night. I am open to any type of restaurant - just want great food and nice atmosphere.

Thank you!

    The Majestic.

PX for drinks??? Pretty cool/chic place. Try to sit at bar. Drinks are amazing, need rez.

    Vermillion.

    Hanks Oyster Bar.

    Restaurant Eve. Pricey.

Chart House, on the water. Good place to walk to.

I second all these recs, except the Chart House which is a little boring food wise.

The bar at Restaurant Eve is a good option. It feels like you're in someone's house- great food, great drinks. If you choose Vermilion- make a reservation and specify that you want one of the upstairs tables near the windows. Basically they're the only decent tables in the entire restaurant. If you want a more "accessible" menu, Jackson 20 is good, too.

        Agree on Vermillion, Majestic.

Also consider Overwood, , Daniel O'Connell's (both loud), Columbia Firehouse.

If your step-daughter is not too familiar with Old Town and you want to walk around after dinner, please warn her about the hazards of high heels and uneven brick sidewalks.

One of my favorite places in the area is the Restaurant Eve bar, great food for not that much.

          Besides what has been mentioned:

Eamonn's - Very low key and casual Fish and Chips.
A La Lucia - underrated italian, not super fancy
          Bastille - good french
Rustico - great beer tap, good food, casual
