Can anyone recommend a dark, sexy restaurant?

I'm looking for a dark and sexy restaurant. Any type of food, except, Middle Eastern.

Food is less important than ambiance.

Apizz is great, as is their sister restaurant, The Orchard. Peasant. is another good choice for Italian.

If you're willing to go to Brooklyn: River Cafe (get a window seat, time it so you'll be there during sunset, which will help distract you from how overpriced it is), Henry's End, Convivium Osteria (sit in the wine cellar)

I'd vote no on Stanton Social - good food, dark, but too boisterous to be romantic / sexy.

I must disagree on The Orchard,. I have eaten there multipe time and although I like the atmosphere and love the hood the food is just not good. The flat breads are slathered with a variety of thick sauces, the filet mignon tacos were certainly not filet mignon. I would not recommend this place for dinner.

Are you willing to go to Brooklyn? If so, Zenkichi in Williamsburg for sure. So very dark and sexy!

Stanton social in the LES. be sure to sit upstairs in the lounge, its dark, sexy and you sit on couches.

I've been to Stanton Social...the only problem is, it's super loud....especially upstairs.
I was hoping for something even a little quieter.
Love the food there, though.
