Poke Festival!

  • 3

I haven't seen this mentioned here and I thought this was a cool, unique food experience that CH'ers might want to check out, especially those who love food from Hawaii. The first annual Poke Festival is next Tuesday, 20 April, at Bali Hai. There will be multiple chefs making their own poke for the chance to be voted the best poke of the festival. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Beacon of Hope orphange in the Phillipines. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. There's also a VIP level for $85/$100. Tickets are available at Motu Hawaii, Ohana Creations, and Surf Diva. Get the details at http://ilovemusubi.com/2010/03/poke-f....

  1. Better be careful announcing this hop.... there is sure to be a ton of people complaining on how poke is so over done in San Diego and how their advanced palates are tired of it.

Haha! Thanks. I guess I should read the overdone dish thread. I've only been in the area since January and with my family background in Hawaii I was pretty excited to hear about this. I'll be one person there who hasn't grown tired of SD poke.

    2. This sounds pretty awesome thanks!
