Looking for a fun/trendy resto for Saturday Nite!

Hello,

I will be in NYC with a girlfriend of mine for 1 night only.
We are looking for a restaurant that will serve a good meal, great drinks and offer a fun and trendy ambiance.

Budget: $$ (mid)
Cuisine: Sushi, Mexican or Italian (or something you might suggest)
Ambiance: Fun/ good bar / fun crowd (mid 20-35)
Area: I will be staying in the Upper East Side, so not TOO far, but I am not difficult.
