I don't know the best place but in Mt Airy there's a place called Geechee Girl Cafe that has Southern Food that we like.

Another great place for authentic southern style soul food is Le Breaux (spelling?) at the Overbrook train station parking lot, off City Ave. Slow, small place, need a rez, but very good last time I was there.

I've heard of Ms Tootsies on South St. Never been there before, but I heard it was good.
