Flushing Chinese for a large group - English-friendly

I host a monthly(ish) dining club devoted to outer borough eating and our next stop is Flushing, Queens. I'm hoping someone here can recommend a Chinese (any region/cuisine) restaurant with great food that is large enough to accommodate a group of about 30, and that is proficient in English so that I can make arrangements/ask questions over the phone. Recommend away!

Thank you all for the input! I've decided to go with Spicy & Tasty since Szechaun food is among my favorite cuisines ever. I've put up a thread asking for recommendations for best dishes there; please add your two cents!

just had a lunch in the upstairs with a large group; great choice for a space, even the front two tables up near the windows are nice so maybe you can ask for that; I love all of their small dishes in the front case, but there are plenty of more specific recs.

Ocean Jewels was profiled on the Channel 7 news a while back, so you'd think they'd be particularly experienced with non-Chinese groups. It's certainly large enough.

But Ocean Jewels was very disappointing for dinner the one time I went with a group of about 8. It can't hold a candle to Imperial Palace, IMO.

I have to second Ocean Jewels. Definitely large enough, and good quality food. I would simply make a reservation and then have one of the managers translate one of the banquet menus (sized for large groups) for you. I'd recommend a seafood based banquet menu for a party your size and enjoy.

look also at Northeast Restaurant; huge restaurant that should be able to handle your party:

another alternative is Fire & Ice but . . that's if everyone wants to eat hotpot. huge restaurant tho. 30 people for a random restaurant in flushing is pretty tough actually; you would want 3 tables maybe? definitely the larger cantonese places might be able to accomodate.

Hunan House could certainly do this, we were 12 at a large table last time (at Sunday lunchtime) and there are several such tables. Great restaurant.

you might like to check out the Flushing Mall. that's what I'm going to do when the time comes.

Flushing Mall is absolutely unworkable for a large group for many reasons.

My best bet would be Imperial Palace (Cantonese). Other options would be Spicy and Tasty, already mentioned, and Hunan House, with enough advance notice, might be able to handle such a large group.

The upstairs room at Spicy and Tasty will certainly work
