Eno Terra in Princeton - overrated?

I went to Eno Terra for my parents anniversary. I was really excited, as I've read the reviews and drooled over the menu, and appreciate the focus on local foods. However, I must say, the food was a big dissapointment. Though the fried artichokes were amazing, everything else was well below average.

I want to go back to try other menu options, especially the sandwiches. But what has been others' experience here?

  1. When wanted to love Eno Terra, but the best item we had was uncooked - the salumi / formaggi plate. Everything else was just OK. Service was amateurish for supposed fine casual dining.

For many years, this has been our experience at all of the Momo restaurants - Mediterra & Teresa's in Princeton, Eno Terra, Ecco Qui when they took over in Bernardsville and Nova Terra in New Brunswick. Consistently inconsistent. Seems like they strive for high traffic locations while serving mediocrity. Our opinion. Others may disagree.
