It looks like they have gone live with the map:

  1. I got all excited, but unfortunately it doesn't show any of the ones in the NW (Braker/183/Spicewood) area. I know there aren't many but there are a few...

It also doesn't include La Fogata which is in the parking lot of the self-serve carwash just south of 183 on Burnet. It's certainly worthy of noting for the cheap deliciousness that can be found there.

La Fagota is on my version of austinfoodcarts, but it does not have to food cart the is up there on Ohlen Rd across from the Target and near the Petsmart.

May I please have a link to this map you have made? If it's linked elsewhere on our board, I've missed it...

As for this other cart, is it the one that serves up tortas and elotes amongst other things? The one I'm thinking of is in the parking lot of a Shell station. H and I got a torta milanesa and an elote on the cob w/ all the fixin's last summer and weren't impressed. The corn was old and overdressed and the torta milanesa was just bad enough not to be forgettable.

Nothing fancy here. I just clicked on the link given by the OP and it is the balloon right above the word Wooten, right where it says North Austin Civic Association.

You're absolutely right for La Fogata. You have my deep appreciation for including it. It's a worthy cart.

is that the pastor cart? If so, It makes magic tacos. especially after 2am. If you eat them you will not have a hangover. It has been scientifically proven.

Not sure if this is the same trailer. Tacos al pastor are on her menu, but I've had one. She's from San Luis Potosi and does some excellent versions of specialties from that city/state - of which my favorite is alhambres. I usually get that or breakfast tacos.

Adding them as fast as i can. I am pretty light on the taco trucks since i haven't focused there and there are so many of them. if there are missing ones please email me and i will add them as i can

Great work, I had really been looking forward to the map! I had a meeting downtown and was able to determine what my best bet was (Chi'lantro!)

You know Taco Journalism has a great map too-it's probably pretty easy to combine them: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF...

          1. re: NWLarry

you can merge them fairly easily, but the Taco Journalism map contains a lot of non cart/trailer places so it won't really work without lots of editing.

I don't know if it's possible or not, but if the map links could go to the austinfoodcarts bio...that would be awesome. Make sense?
As an example I just clicked on G'Raj, but it doesn't link to your bio-I have to click back to the main page, etc.
2 cents...I am becoming addicted to the site.
