Vegetarian in Monterey area?

I'll be spending a few nights in Pacific Grove with two friends, one of whom is a vegetarian. She does eat eggs and dairy. Would appreciate any recommendations where all 3 of us can be happy - i.e., general-type restaurant with more choices for the veg than salad and baked potato.

We'll be birding, out in the field all day, so not looking for fine dining, just decent food. A good wine list would be a plus!

My first rec would be Passionfish in Pacific Grove. It has a great extensive wine list with wines priced at retail. Although the focus of the place is on innovative sustainable seafood preps, there are always some dishes appropriate for vegetarians. While not dirt cheap, the food is very reasonably priced. I would recommend reservations as the place gets packed some evenings.

If you want water views with your meal, consider one of the places on Old Fisherman's Wharf: Domenico's, Isabella's or Cafe Fina are all very good. Enjoy the coast! :)
