what happened to sabor a mexico?

I know they closed their culver city location, that I used to love for some reason and moved to some place more ghetto. I tried it over a year ago and wasn't impressed. Did it go downhill? Are they better again now? Are they still open?

Have any replacement mexican spots on the west side? I don't eat meat so they should have other good options...

For no meat, try Sazon, they often have wonderful veggie empanadas which are similar (Although not quite) to SaM

She also has Calabacitas and other meatless options.

Another spot for some good meatless options (and sort of down towards the original Sabor location) is Gloria's Cafe on Venice Blvd. Some really nice Salvadoran pupusas without meat.

Thanks, these both look like places I need to hit up. I'm pretty over mariscos chente; I spent too much money there last time for margarine-laden dishes.

            Dommy--where is this pic from

Here's the actual menu (Although she also usually has about 5 specials incl. veggie ones on her white board)
