Oh god, first we lose New yeah Shanghai Deluxe and now GoGo. I have been to Red Egg, don't think it's anything special although the atmosphere is nicer I don't think the food is better.

    I need a replacement list and fast . . .

I rode past Dim Sum Go Go on the bus yesterday at 4:15pm - it was open.

We have been told that they lost their lease and would be moving, or going out of business, by year's end. We went a couple of weeks ago and found the gate down and the restaurant closed. I called a couple of days later and actually got someone live who said they were renovating and would be open in a week or two That was April 2. I fear that Dim Sum Go Go is history which would be a terrible loss. We love the place.

That would be awful, since Dim Sum Go Go is almost the only thing keeping Manhattan Chinatown from being considered a 1990s relic when it comes to dim sum. Interestingly, they were just mentioned last week in the New York Times.

That's so depressing..... Pretty soon, I might have to start traveling to Canada or Calif for Chinese food!

It would be sad to lose DSGG, but I have to say that for the style (modern dim sum, no carts), I think Red Egg is miles better these days.
