Solo Dining recommendation near W hotel midtown? First Time to Atlanta!

I would love some recommendations for GOOD SOUTHERN FOOD in Atlanta, preferably near W hotel midtown.
I'm open to any type of food, price is no object but I prefer casual atmosphere. I'm on my own this time so restaurants more suitable for solo diner would be appreciated. Thanks!

    If you want to walk, your best option would be South City Kitchen, sit at the bar. If you take a car/cab, go to Carver's or Busy Bee for lunch and Holeman and Finch for cocktails and dinner.

      You would have to drive or take a taxi. It's not far.

      Mary Mac's (will receive heated debate on the board but I'll throw it out there as an experience near the W)
