North Wilmington Take Out Restaurant Recommendations?
Just moved to North Wilmington and need restaurant recommendations. I am just past a industrial park off I-93, exit 41. I think it is Ballardvale/Wilmington Junction district?
Seems to be nothing around except a sandwich shop which is only open during business hours. . I am on Andover border, but I think Tewksbury and Wilmington would be closer as I think nothing in Andover unless you go downtown.
Any help for local area pizza, thai, chinese or any other food anyone would recommend? We enjoy all types of food! Thanks

I would recommend Tuk-Tuk, friendly service and generally good to excellent food. Some dishes can be made authentic Thai style, but you have to ask Sal. I've had better Thai food, but I had to travel to Thailand for that.

Although things aren't quite as sparse as they were when I moved here in the mid-90's, Wilmington itself still doesn't have many good food options. I do most of my eating out closer to Boston/Camberville, or head for destination restaurants like FuLoon.
I'm near the Burlington/Billerica side of things, so I'm not as familiar with your end of town. I'd suggest searching the board for offerings in Andover et al. I've heard recs for Mango Thai in Tewksbury but haven't been there yet myself.
Here are a few places I go to from time to time; you can search the board for more info on them:
The closest good Chinese to you is probably Sichuan Garden in N. Woburn. (The similarly-named Sichuan Gourmet in Billerica is a board favorite with arguably better food, but not that convenientfor you.) North Woburn also has Pho #1, which has some quite tasty Vietnamese and Thai offerings, and the Lanna Thai diner, which is cute but may not be that good for take-out. For non take-out, Dim Sum at the China Pearl in Woburn is also good.
Most of the pizza in town will be Greek-style/House of Pizza, and I've found them to be pretty mediocre/interchangeable. Kendra and Anthony's is a bit better, though I gave up on their red-sauce a while back and instead opt for a white 5-cheese with bacon (well-done). For me it's either them or Bertucci's for local pizza take-out.
As Good AS It Gets Cafe does a decent breakfast/lunch and is now open for dinner some nights, though I haven't tried them for that. I think they could do tasty take-out sandwiches. You can also get a good breakfast at Vic's Waffle House in Tewksbury, and their fresh-squeezed OJ is hard to beat.
Good luck; eating out well around here is tough. At least you're close to the highway :-).

re: T.B.
Mango Thai in Tewksbury sent me a $50 gift card after I wrote them about a disappointing meal, in particular because it was my 11 yr old's first time eating Thai food and he was so excited about it. Now, he says he doesn't "like" Thai and I told them that, too. I give the place a lot of credit for the gift card but can't work up any desire to return.

I've been in wilmington for about two years and here is what i have found. I'm closer to the burlington side. I don't have all of the addresses but you should be able to google them.
Micheal's place has decent pizza and fried food. Cash Only
Golden Ginger accross from the wilmington plaza has good sushi and chinese and is nice inside if you what to dine in.
The Big One is a small Thai takeout place that is not bad.
There is another pizza place on RT62 near the 93 interchange that has good pizza. I can't remember the name but it was on the other side of the road from the RMV and closer to 93.
Also, Kendra & Anthony's is an upscale pizza joint across from Wilmington plaza. I think its a little over priced for what they serve.
Be careful of some of the other chinese restaurants. A lot of them look like greasy, americanized versions of chinese. I tend to just bomb into chinatown for takeout.
