leslieville/beaches fun but good

hi there, wondering if anyone has any tips for a fun, casual yet tasty eatery in the leslieville, beaches area. Thanks for the help!

There are a number of good threads around here on Leslieville restaurants. New stuff has been opening up, but not that many places to add to the list. For the more casual end, I would second Gio's, although you can dress up or down here - maybe add Lil Baci, Barrio, the Queen E branch of Hanoi 3 Seasons. Definitely Lady Marmalade for brunch, if you don't mind a wait.

We haven't been able to get reservations at Ruby Watchco. They've been packed pretty solid so far. I wonder when things will slow down enough to accommodate our last-minute schedule...

Judging from all the postive reviews, I don't think that will happen any time soon drjolt.

I really like Lady Marmalade. Serves breakfast and lunch. Their Baja Rice Bowl is super yummy.

The vibe of Ceili Cottage is what I like best, but it's not for everyone. Food has been pretty decent-to-good for me, but others have had worse. This is not a place for a quick bite. Plan to be there for a while.

Swirl Wine Bar is a great, but small space. Kinda girly. Nice selection of snacks.

And I juuuust posted yesterday on places newly opened or to-be opened around Leslieville:

Perhaps Gio's? Haven't been in a few months but in the past the food has always been decent, and definitely has the casual, fun vibe to it.

Ah yes, Gio's! very fun vibe, agreed. I've only eaten once, and that was decent food. Nothing crazy-good, but nothing to complain about either!
