I recommend you type 'Vence' into the search box to get you started.

Ahhh, Vence. One of my favorite hill towns west of Nice. A real town, bustling and busy with locals doing their daily routines. Unlike neighboring St Paul, a town born out of tourism. Just love that giant ceramic bird in the rond-point in Vence!
As far as restaurants, there are scores. From the top end Le St Martin and Les Bacchanales to the casual bistros, Vence and environs is teeming with great choices to eat.
If you do venture into St Paul (I suppose if you have a month it's OK for a half day) there is the venerated La Colombe D'Or, as much a museum as a top flight restaurant.
An interesting restaurant is in a restored Convent, Le Vieux Couvent. Fabulous setting and nice menu.

It's been 10 years since I was in Vence, but I remember fondly the wonderful dinners at Le Vieux Couvent and Auberge des Templiers. Le Lion D'Or is also worth a visit. It is in the Auberge des Seigneurs which is a great place to stay. Vence is a wonderful town.

One of the best things is buying your food to take home on the exquisite twenty meter stretch of the Rue du Marché in old Vence with its lovely high-quality shops..
