  1. Oystercatchers is the best brunch in Tampa, last time I did Jackson's it wasn't bad but kind of disappointing. Island Way Grille in Clearwater is also excellent.

I second the emotion for Oystercatchers. And I agree that Island Way Grill is a good value for the price. I've noticed that 400 Beach in St. Pete has a Sunday brunch buffet for around 20 bucks, but I have yet to try it.

    2. In Tampa I recommend the lime, daily eats, or smoke for a casual brunch. Mad dogs and Englishmen is my favorite.

x2 on the Lime and Smoke, but MD&E has been super disappointing the past few times I've gone, and I keep giving it additional chances because I want it to be good but it just isn't :(

      2. I'm with AskDrTodd-- Oystercatcher's is the best brunch in Tampa. I was there last Sunday with a large group and had a fantastic time. Delicious smoked fish and other seafood and a lot of variety in their offerings.

        1. BT had excellent brunch in Hyde Park but word on the street is she just went bankrupt. Sad.

As someone that lives within walking distance, Jackson's is definitely a disappointment for brunch -- Oystercatcher's and Island Way Grill are FAR better recommendations. Also, does the Don Cesar still do brunch? I went with neighbors a couple of years ago and we had a fantastic brunch.

You might also consider the Hard Rock as well ... their Sunday brunch in the past has been very solid.

She filed for protection but is still open. From the article I read it sounds like the vendors are paid and she has issues with the landlord. This is probably a great time to go support the restaurant.

            2. Thanks all, for your recomendations.

Looks like visits are in order, to a couple of different places.
