Ginger Betty's -- Quincy

Stopped at Ginger Betty's this morning for the first time in months. I was just in the mood for their thick, chewy ginger cookies with the chocolate drizzle on top. Also picked up some coconut maccaroons with chocolate on top and they were really nice. Just wanted to give a shout out for them because I always think of them over the holidays when they make those great gingerbread houses or the gingerbread baskets filled with cookies but then I kind of forget about them the rest of the year. I'm also unsure whether people realize or not that they have other products besides gingerbread cookies.

  1. LOVE their brownies, as well as their ginger cookies. They actually come into my company in Post Office Square every 4-6 weeks 'cause we give them so much business! Haven't tried their cupcakes yet - have you Peg (or anyone else)?

Not yet, but their muffins looked pretty good.

I didn't see them yesterday, I'm assuming from southiechick's post they do. I was surprised to see that they had cookies other than the standard gingerbread versions. There were chocolate chip, oatmeal, macaroons as well as the soft ginger cookies. There was also a set up with muffins, which I assume caters to the morning off to work crowd, but there was another case that I didn't go over to. I was on a mission for cookies.

Actually, I'm not sure if the carry them at the store. When they were at my office building, I had mentioned to the woman there (Beth?) that I was craving a cupcake & she told me that they do make them but didn't bring any with her that day. She said they are just "basic" cupcakes - vanilla & chocolate. She said I could just call them the day before the come & she would bring some into the office for me. They'll be back on Thursday, May 6th so I just might have to "take one for the team" & order a couple. ; )
I also have to say that their chocolate chip cookie are good too - they use a chocolate chunk vs a chocolate chip in their cookies. Unfortunately, they usually only bring in about 6 dozen of those so they're gone right away.

    2. Are they the ones at the Quincy Farmer's Market?
