Cheap eats in Montreal

Morning!

I'm visiting Montreal at the end of the month, and am looking for cheap eats. I'll definitely be hitting up Patati Patata again, but is there any place downtown, or near rue Aylwin, or worth travelling across the city for? Cheap refers to $15 or less per person for the meal.

I'll take up any recommendations you throw my way. :)

Thanks!

A must, and a Montreal institution, is a smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz's deli on Boulevard St. Laurent. Cheap, succulent, large sandwiches. Fries are the real deal too. Top it all off with a cherr coke. Doesn't get much better than that.

Do a search for the best $10 or less thread, great ideas in there..
