where do you buy good beef or veal bones for stock

I am trying to make a beef stock and perhaps a veal stock this weekend. I was hoping to get some advice on places that sell good quality beef or veal bones. Thanks in advance.

  1. What part of town are you in? On the West side any of the better butcher shops have veal and beef bones (make sure they are cut into decent size pieces).
Both butcher shops in Granville Island have them as well as Jackson's Meats on 4th and Windsor on Main is a good bet as well.

    1. I just bought 5 lbs of veal bones from Tenderland meats on Granville Island. They were 1000% sure they had them until they checked, but they did.
