i'm flying out of oakland on sunday night and i have a couple hours to kill beforehand. are there any good restaurants in the berkeley/oakland area? i'm looking for mid-range price, something casual, preferably nothing that takes too long to eat or wait for to eat, and any cuisine is fine. help me out, please!

Many places are closed Sunday, but Barlata, Bocanova, Champa Garden, El Huarache Azteca, Ohgane, Sea Salt, T-Rex, and Wood Tavern would all work.

I would suggest eating in Alameda as it is very close to the airport. Hob Nob, Bagan/Burmastar, La Pinata, Zen, Barceluna, Angelfish, Tomatina are all possibilities

4 miles to the airport without going on the freeway, Great American BBQ.

Sunday Supper over at Chop Bar might fit the bill.

Where are you from? Where are you flying to? Where have you been where you've been here? (Note: I'm resisting being snarky and saying there are no good restaurants in the Berkeley/Oakland area).
