You can buy Israeli couscous at Metro Grocery store in Westmount and at Douceurs du Mache at atwater Market. I am a frequent buyer.

I've bought it at Les Douceurs du Marche at Atwater, and I'm sure it's readily available elsewhere, although I haven't looked too hard for it. IIRC grocery stores with a kosher section carry it as well (Loblaws and Metro). Make sure, however, that you check the expiry date on the package as it does go rancid.

You can find it at Marché Jean-Talon: the spice shop (forget the name) in the alley near Qui Lait Cru and at the Boucherie du marché (more expensive of the two).

          Anatol near JTM has it.

I get mine from Folie en Vrac (1307 Mont Royal Est)...

Loblaws carries it (well, at least the one in Laval does), as does IGA in Cote-St-Luc.

Kosher section of the Loblaws on St. Jacques - always have it- small bags and the larger bags, and the kosher section (where the chips are) of the IGA in the Cote st. Luc shopping center.

I just found "Couscous of Jerusalem" by Aqua Gourmet (www.aquagourmet.ca) at Les 5 Saisons, Greene Avenue, for $3.49. Now I'm looking for an easy yet tasty recipe, as the manager mentioned that the recipe on the box was not the best.

Thanks everyone...picked up 3 bags at 1.99 a peice at Loblaws, St Jacques. For a nice creamy cousocus, 1 to 1 ratio with chicken stock.. If anyone has a good reciepe, I wpould love to see it. The best I ever ate was at theAix resto in the Hotel Place d'Armes, risotto-ish with parm cheese, simply delicious!!
