lunch in Andover (Shawsheen Village)

Hey all, just started working in "Shawsheen Village" and am looking for some lunch places to try. I've already got Harrison's on my list for Roast Beef, wondering if there's any other spots to hit up for a good, cheap lunch?

thanks!

There is also Shawsheen Luncheonette at the intersection of Haverhill St and route 28. Good quality food, including homemade soups, and friendly staff.

I have been working near SV for about 2.5 years and have few chow-worthy recommendations. Yes, the Lawrence explorations are the best surprises (Cafe Aztec) has above the mean Mexican. I find myself drawn to grazing at Whole Foods on Railroad Ave (half sandwiches, slice of artichoke pizza, self-assembled antipasta salad.

I have tried the new Mediterranian place on Post Office Way. I was disappointed that it was sit-down only. They need a quicker (and slightly cheaper) option.

If you're looking for take out Mediterranean, try Jim's Kabob on Merrimack St. in Lawrence. They do a good Falafel pita. It's a pretty quick drive from Shawsheen Village

Cool, I was hoping for a Whole Foods with a "food court" nearby, my old place of employment had one nearby and it was great for the solid level of variety, plus I can pick up my snacking veggies and such while I'm there!

I thought there was a Whole Foods in Andover with great ready made cuisine. Yep, it's on Railrd St. not too far.

i wouldn't get your hopes up for Harrison's. i've always found their roast beef sammiches to be too well done and too thinkly sliced resulting in a grey meat lump on a bun. and their onion rings blow.

A little further down rt 125, there's the Loft and Joe Fish, also Orzo in the Butcher Boy plaza and they do a pretty good pizza.

Butcher Boy would be a short ride for you as well. They do nice sandwiches and huge hot meals at lunch. Go check them out too.
