Need Recs Near DC Convention Center for this weekend

SaraMiller Apr 5, 2010 05:12 PM

We are coming to DC this weekend (staying at Embassy Suites) and need recommendations for dinner on Friday night. We like fine dining and ethnic food, but some friends who will be enjoying dinner with us are not as adventurous. Any recommendations for a mid-priced dinner would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Consider Acadiana, within easy walking distance.

Check to see if it's in your price range, but Corduroy right across the street from the CC is one of the best restaurants in the city.

They also have a 3-courses-for-$30 special at the bar, but you can't make reservations for the bar.

Againn, an Irish gastropub, has food for the both of you. High quality throughout

Give Kushi a shot. It's just a short walk (couple blocks) east of the convention center.

Kushi is an izakaya and has been open for a few weeks. I ate there a couple of weeks ago and would highly recommend it. The prices are, in my opinion, mid-range. We spent ~$70/couple -- several small plates, a few drinks, desert.

They offer much, much more than just sushi.
