Pittsburgh-Vegetarian options near Warhol museum

LauraInPhilly Apr 5, 2010 11:00 AM

I will be visitng Pittsburgh the weekend of April 23rd. On Saturday, a group is going to the Warhol Museum. We need a recommendation for a place with vegetarian options. We will consider Thai, Mexican, Chinese or any other ethnic type of place. But will not have to be limited to those choices. A chain restaurant is NOT an option. Thanks is advance

Kaya, which is across river in Strip District. It's not huge so if interested check out reservations.

I've gone to Kaya with a few vegetarians and they were very satisfied. But other options could include Hoi Polloi in the Northside http://www.hoipolloicafe.com
Abay Ethiopian Cuisine is really good too http://www.abayrestaurant.com
And I keep hearing great things about Yo Rita http://www.yoritasouthside.com I plan to try it myself in a few weeks!
I could probably keep going, so let me know if you're interested in any other options. Many of these are not right near the Warhol, but I wasn't sure if you were limited to the North Shore.

        Abay Ethiopian Cuisine
        130 S Highland Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206

        Hoi Polloi
1100 Galveston Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15233

        Yo Rita
        1120 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203

Right at PNC Park is one of the locally owned Atria's. Not necessarily vegetarian, but many options there. And you can walk from the Warhol.
