Best Diners Brunches in Calgary?

MartinT Apr 3, 2010 12:54 PM

I have a list of favorites; Diner Delux, Blackfoot Diner, Brunch at Smugglers (as long as you arrive early) but would like to sample more. Where are your favorite Brunch/Diners in Calgary?

99th avenue cafe, for sure. it's not quite a diner (in the retro or greasy spoon sense), they serve up the best breakfast in south calgary... AND, it's CHEAP. see my review here: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/678036

My votes for diner style brunch: Diner Deluxe, Dairy Lane, and Avenue Diner.

Lots of comments on these previous brunch in Calgary threads.

The Ranche in Fish Creek park does an awesome Sunday brunch.

          Can't beat the Dairy Lane!

Also quite good are 1886 in Eau Claire, and for a great change of pace try Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus non Crowchild Tr S!

1886 is one of the worst breakfasts i've had in calgary. $15 for cold, hard potatoes, pale eggs, and no meat? no thanks!

The burrito I recently had there was quite tasty but, yes, very pricey, $18 I think.
