Like them at a number of places, some of the hole in the wall
indian places up in lowell do a great job,

Pongol which specializes in S. India is acceptable
(the one they serve with the buffet was maybe 1 star rated
Udipi in Lowell I think is the best I've found , but havent tried many places

  1. I'm not an expert and its been quite a while since I've been there, but I recall liking the Dosa at Ambassador India in Woburn http://www.ambassadorindiainc.net/sou...

    1. Dosa Temple in Ashland makes a better dosa than the former Udupi in Framingham, which used to be where Dosa Temple is. Kitchen equipment maybe?

      1. +1 for Dosa Temple- I was just talking about it the other day on the Indian buffet thread. I'm not an expert either, but the ones at the temple were right up there with the best I've had.

        1. Bombay Mahal on Moody St. in Waltham makes very good dosa. The Dosa Factory, which would definitely fall into the hole in the wall category, was supposed to be opening on Moody St. but it looked like progress was stalled the last time I was there.
