Mobile browser optimized site: need section update
While I love looking at Chowhound on my iPod Touch (same apps as the iPhone), the mobile optimized version of the site hasn't been updated for the new geographic areas. For the NYC area, that means Tristate is still an option (but there are no new posts) and "New York State" is not on the list.
I suspect this is true with the other new geographic sections, too.
Any chance you can update the mobile pages to match the current sections?
Thanks!

I honestly don't even bother with CH on my phone because it's so useless. I really wish it had a better mobile site or even app, because it would be great to be able to get to CH on the go, but I just use Yelp when I'm not at my computer.

I skip the mobile app and use the full page view. I find this site actually works quite well in regular view on the iPhone. I also prefer full page view because I can reply to posts as I'm reading and the site keeps track of what's new and what I've already read. I tend to go to the Restaurants & Bars tab to search for info when I'm on the go.
Yes, I do wish that there were a better mobile app though. It's kinda weird that the Managing Editor recommends these 9 iPhone apps for finding restaurant information,
http://www.chow.com/blog/2010/06/9-re... , and this site has nothing to offer. Maybe this market research will pay off in a better Chowhound app some day.

re: bbqboy
I'm not sure what you mean. There are chowhound boards for "Greater Seattle" and "Metro Portland" as well as "Pacific Northwest".
You can currently only get the latter on the mobile site. Elisa515 and I are pointing out that, amongst others, the Seattle and Portland boards aren't accessible.
