I love the Doghouse in Delaware but it is too far! Where are they best Hot gods in South Jersey. we live in Burlington County - out side of Medford!

Where should we go?

South Jersey is a hot dog wasteland. There is Hot Dog Tommy's in Cape May, but his dogs are only average. Prepared on a roller grill, which in my opinion is for gas stations, movie theatres, and 7-11's, not a good hot dog joint. The one decent place in South Jersey is Maui's in Wildwood.

Thanks for the link, John. Good to know Maui's is open. I guess I'll be driving down for a Dressed and a side of Salty Balls. Mrs OC likes the Soprano.

There is a place in the 'Lumberyard' development on Haddon Ave in Collingswood that just sells hot dogs. Sorry, I haven't been and cannot recall the name. Perhaps you can google for more information. I also did see a place in Burlington, just off of route 130 that just did dogs. I think it's called the Hot Dog Depot or something like that.

Mschow it was sportz dogs but that went out of business. It's now Texas Wieners[sic]
http://www.texaswieners.com/ which of course has nothing at all to do with Texas.

And they mis-misspelled the name; in North Jersey they are Texas Weiners.

Jim's Lunch in Millville is pretty good. And the sauce they put on the dogs is tasty.

I was recently in George's Restaurant in Mount Holly and saw an award plaque (from South Jersey magazine??) that was for the "Best hot dogs in South Jersey". I haven't tried them yet, but it's probably worth a shot.

There is always Russ Ayres in Bordentown. Not the best dog, but still tasty. -mJ

Are any of those places listed in/around Atlantic City?
