Where are all the Indian restaurants??
Is it me or does there seem to be a complete dearth of Indian restaurants in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck area? Does anyone know of any decent places nearby? The only one that comes to mind is the place on Mamaroneck Avenue whose name currently escapes me...

Rani Mahal in Mamaroneck is good. We like it better than Bengal Tiger. We also like Bollywood Bistro in Pleasantville, but it's not exactly local to Larchmont/Mamaroneck.

re: valerie
Another vote for Rani Mahal. It's one of my favorite restaurants - not just favorite Indian, but favorite restaurant period.
Just a note that the "back" of Rani Mahal is the front. There is a small, barely-marked street-level entrance on Mamaroneck Avenue (you have to go down a flight of stairs), but the main entrance faces the movie theater parking lot.

Bengal Tiger in WP- oldie and goodie IMO.
3 NEW iNDIAN PLACES IN RIVERTOWNS THIS YEAR- Irvington- chutney MASALA- ok food- very pricey for Indian- but very Rivertowns atmosphere.
One new one in Dobbs- can't remember name. and Tarrytown which had had a decent Indian on Bdway, has changed, or soon to change to Halal- will give updates when we get there.
Bollywood in Pleasantville is good.
This is IMO- bashing not appreciated.-----

There's a dearth of anything that isn't Italian and 'authentic' Mexican in Westchester.
I 'think' this list is current, but I can't comment on any of them:
