Where to buy a suckling pig?

Does anyone know of any butchers/farms that sell whole suckling pigs? I'm not sure what size I want, but one that will fit in a large Big Green Egg. If a full sized turkey can fit in my Egg, I'm thinking that a 10-12 lb pig will too.

I'd also appreciate any cooking tips from fellow home barbecuers.

Thanks!

If you live near Baltimore City, we just talked to the butcher at Ceriello (next to Atwater's in Belvedere Square) and he said they can special order suckling pigs. I think he quoted $3/lb but don't quote me on that.

You might check at the Lexington Market, too. They used to have suckling pigs, but we haven't been in years. Not sure where you're located.

You can get them from the Meat folks at the Sunday Dupont Farmers market (or at least order them) - You may also try the vendors at Eastern market.

Yum, can't wait to hear how it turns out!

I live in Maryland, so this place is more convenient for me than the DC suggestions. Thanks!
